I decided I would have a go at making thr Aztec callender on the CNC machine.

The walnut wood holds its shape well and came out very neat and clean.

This is the sun stone which is called the "aztec calender" by those who do not no it's history, first of all it was invented by the mayans but since a giant sun stone was discovered in Mexico they just called it the Aztec calender, History is full of ignorant people naming things, like Christopher Columbus naming The inhabitants of the islands he had reached "Indians".

Its an Aztec sun stone?

I am not well clued up on the whole aztec thing if I am honest.

I stuck 'Aztec Calender' into google and this stone was one of the results.

If you can confirm 100% its a sun stone and not an Aztec Calender I will happily rename it

It's a misnomer to call it a calendar stone. It cannot actually calculate any days or months or anything.
